marshy Posted July 24, 2012 Share Posted July 24, 2012 I've always thought wilson was a tit anyway lol...But he does make a few good points..The 5a (imo..others may beg to differ) as a std car was a bit pityful.. The engine was a tad pathetic in its 1.3 > 1.6 form ( improved a tad in xr form..) And let's be honest.. It looks mind numbingly tedious with that grill and headlamps.. I've never owned a cabby (due to the dodgy pikey feckers round here would think it hilarious to slash the hood) but I have had 1 mk5a..and two 1.4s a 5b and 6.. And was never impressed.. Only slightly with 1.6,more with a 1.8,but got the "grin factor" with the rs..That's my two penneth anyways Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Matt86 Posted July 24, 2012 Author Share Posted July 24, 2012 If you read alot of motoring journalism about the Mk5 they nearly all slate its handling etc. It might look pretty dull but then compare it to Astra's of that era and I still think it looks better.
