The head unit i am looking at is a panasonic 983 4x50whttp://www.letsbuycaraudio.com/main.php?ca...=3&product=1261 what do u think of it? ne 1 got feedback on panasonic head units. also any suggestions on the 6x9's to buy with it? is it worth gettin an amp for this and if so again wot 1? not to up on all the watts n stuff. cheers , andy Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Get a nice set of component speakers up front rather than 6x9's, they'll sound much better, plus the sound will be coming from around you, not from behind you (assuming that you want the 6x9s in the back). Depending on your budget, a head unit, components, sub, and a 4 channel amp will do you nicely (assuming you dont want to go into large sums of money here). Run the comps of 2 channels, then bridge the other 2 and run the sub. I wont reccomend anything since I don't know what sort of budget you have to spend, but have a look. Also remember that more expensive items WILL generally sound a lot nicer than cheaper ones, ie kenwood will sound better than splX but something like Rockford Fosgate or even Magnat will waste them both. On the subject of that head unit, theres nothing wrong with it, but you could probably get something better for less money if you look.
