S2 Rs turbo

I bought the car in feb this year, my idea was to use the car for the shows over the summer then do my usual trick and strip it and rebuild it. The truth is my money is tight now and I've lost the enthusiasm. The gti has been in bits for 2 years now so I need to get my priorities in the right place.

The car is a reshell from a red e reg which I have the report for. I even have a picture of the car, into a 1990 g reg bonus. The shell is unbelievably straight although the repaint isn't the best which didn't bother me as I said I planned on repainting the car.

The car has got a 90spec bumper and interior, I have changed the front indicators to brand new Amber's, the rear lights have been changed to red/smoked but I have very good condition originals that can be fitted if preferred. New rmd boost hoses in blue. New alternator. I started tidying up the engine bay by replacing the leaking rocket gasket and painting the cover.

This is a project car IMO, either a few small jobs or a big tidy up.

There are a few bad parts as you would expect but the price reflects this and I will be perfectly honest on these.

The car has a short mot but for this it should only need the fuel setting up and the windscreen replacing (replacement screen is included)

Other bad parts are;

Drivers window rises half way and sticks, replacement mechanism is included.

The clutch ratchet will require replacing, every so often it clicks but hasn't caused me any problems.

The rev counter doesn't work.

The car doesn't fire up straight away when cold but does start every time, this is caused by over fueling and will be sorted when fueling is set up.

The body has a few bits, the boot has been delocked and the filler has cracked, there is fist along the better edge

The passenger door has been delocked and shares the same problem

The bonnet has a little rust bubbling above the passenger headlight.

The passenger wing has had filler and cracked.

Down both sides of the car must of been bump strips which have been peeled off taking the paint. There is black vinyl strips covering this.

There has been a repair panel fitted to the fuel filler and the repair isn't the best.

Mot is due on the 27th of July and the tax is until the 31.8.13

I have been as honest as possible on the car, any other questions please feel free to ask any questions via pm. Please bare in mind this Is a 23 year car and has done 22k since the reshell which I believe was around 3 years ago. It isn't a mint car but it is a car that can be driven every day as I have been.

I have priced the car fairly just under what it owes me and in respective of the work it requires. £1650 I may take part exchange or swaps you only have to ask.

Hiya mate, don't supose you'de be atal interested in a swop for a 2000 vw polo would you?

It has long tax and test, just recently had new front springs, new front discs and pads, new rear shoes, serviced around 3-400 miles ago, new centre and rear exhaust.

It's only a 1.4 petrol so no rocket ship but great mpg and cheap to run if money's tight...

It's completly standard and we're only the 3rd owners iirc? Awesome little car that kept us goin while money wasn't great but we want something to have fun with again now...

Let us know what you think anyway bud
