It's the end of an era for me, as I offer my much loved Escort for sale, here in Torquay.

I'm offering it here first, as the car is known to the club, and I would like to give Evo members first shot.

PLEASE NOTE THAT I AM NOT INTERESTED IN BREAKING THE VEHICLE

I'm looking for OIRO £350, for which you will get the car, complete with all the various bits I have added over the years. It has MOT and Tax till the end of September, so it's currently road legal. Use it or strip it, it's up to you.

The body is a bit tatty these days, but mechanically it's still sound. it has a recorded 81,000 miles, although the vehicle itself has done about 5,000miles more than this because I fitted a white dial dash with a lower mileage.

The gearbox is about 4 years old, and the details of when it was changed can be found in my post history.

I have all the MOTs from 2003 onwards, the original handbooks in their wallet, and the original service book which shows the servicing up until 30000 miles. I also have a large, disorganised, folder of receipts for work carried out on the vehicle whilst it has been in my ownership

It comes with:

1. Non-OE, plastic, sideskirts with all jacking point covers.

2. ST24 style fibreglass rear bumper. The left hand bolt has parted from the bumper, and will need to be refixed, and the bumper has some slight cracking from idiots in supermarket car parks.

3. Rear spoiler with integral brake light, although this currently lets water into the boot.

4. Angel-eye headlights, and I will also include the original headlights.

5. Mazda-style rear light units, and I will also include a set of slightly damaged chrome-style aftermarket rear light units.

6. Chrome number plate surround

7. Set of generic spotlights in front intake.

8. Afterrmarket grille - currently painted blue, and fitted with a central "Escort" badge.

9. The car is fitted with a large bore exhaust - I THINK it was a Powerflow, stainless steel, but I can't recall for certain.

10. The suspension has been lowered, using a proper kit - 20mm if I recall correctly.

11. The door mirrors are manually adjusted sports mirrors.

12. The dashboard and gear lever surround has been painted a light metallic blue, with a slight overcoat of silver, and then clear lacquer. Not to everyone's taste, but certainly different!

13. The stereo surround has been painted in a similar manner,

14. The instrument cluster is a white dial type, and has been modified to be backlit by blue LEDs.

15. The factory-fitted tilt and slide sunroof has been converted to electric operation.

16. The courtesy light has been upgraded to the one with integral map-lights, and fitted with a courtesy light delay unit.

17. The steering stalks have been upgraded to the variable-delay intermittent type, and the correct relay fitted for this to function.

18. The original steering wheel has been replaced with a full leather one from the higher spec model.

19. A-pillar instrument pod, fitted with vacuum gauge and voltmeter.

20. Footwell lights, currently fitted with blue LED sidelight bulbs.

21. There is a custom made rear parcel shelf with some old-school Pioneer speakers, a small amp, and it also carries a large capacitor for use with a subwoofer (I may still have the subwoofer somewhere in my garage), and there is a fused, high current, wiring for this directly from the battery. Unfortunately I no longer have the original parcel shelf.

21. Chromed cam-cover with Escort Evolution sparkplug cover .

22. Silver E-Tech strut brace.

23. Stainless steel exhaust manifold heatshield.

24. Ram-Air filter and induction kit - although, to be fair, this is in need of a damn good cleaning!

25. Chrome strut top mounts and nut covers.

26. Chrome hydraulic bonnet lifters.

27. Chrome bonnet stay (although this is redundant because of the bonnet lifters!).

28. The front fog lights no longer work due to cracked lenses and water ingress, however the dashboard switch, wiring, and relay is fitted.

29. The necessary relays for the indicators to flash when locking/unlocking the car are fitted, and functioning.

30. The front door locks are fitted with Solex security lock barrels, with all keys.

31. The front discs are the grooved type.

I have all the interior boot trim, but this is currently in my garage as it was getting damp due to water ingress into the boot.

I can't think of anything else at the moment, so I'll leave you to look at the pictures, which can be viewed here:
