It was originally my granfathers who passed away 9 years ago. The car was bought from our local Mercedes Dealer - Alexandra motors in Grimsby. The dealer then maintained the car and continues to do so, the car is collected annually for an mot/service/valet. It has only been to the dealer; in fact one year the dealer sent out a diagnostician to give the health check and she rung Alexandra to check they were authorised (Mercedes UK gave her a free service for her loyalty!) The car has not as you might expect done very little mileage for the last few years but in fact has been regularly used to chauffeur her around. The car is totally original, it has had some paint over the years (every W210 has) it had a top end rebuild 3 or 4 years ago after the head gasket started weeping - I'm pretty sure Mercedes made a contribution to this due to the history. It has a cat one alarm / immobiliser and a tracker fitted. All three original keys are with the car. Its original factory Blaupunkt head unit is fitted. The electric memory seats still function fully. The car still has all its 200 odd horses and will quite happily sail along at license losing pace. It'll do 30mpg without trying too hard, this drops to the mid 20s in town and will see 35 if driven very carefully. I would love to keep it, alas i have two mx5s and an estate and its just not practical for me. The car has lived a pampered life and spent its days and nights garaged. I want it to be loved and used rather than sitting and rotting. LPG it and waft around in comfort? slam it VIP style? maybe weld the diff and go yakuza drift? For the full asking price we will leave the tax on and have the car valeted, part ex possible, just try me. The less than perfect bits:Some of the wheels have been balanced with bang on weights to the rim after the car required tyres far from home Only one tyre is original spec continental - the rest are appropriate premium tyres (just not oem - fitted in haste) on the same subject, there is a very slight wobble through the steering at 55mph - pretty sure this is due to a balancing weight falling off There is a 2-3mm hole in the padding of the central arm rest and the covering on the door pulls of the front two handles has shrunk slightly - but not split or damaged. the front wing has a stone chip < 3mm in size
