Mk6 Si Ross
there's 3 engine varients!!!! 105, 115 and the convertible's engine the 130bhp, think the difference was cams and ecu or something like that.
simonh1
The 130 has different cam profiles, bigger throttle body, 33% bigger valves and a different map in the ECU..........
Mk6 Si Ross
Si, does the 1.8 head fit straight onto the 2.0 block???? I'm hoping so for the future as my heads already been done
simonh1
Yes mate, they are basically the same as far as I'm aware, as the 1.8 130 head has the same spec ie. valve sizes as the 2.0.

John16v
so could put new performance cams in it then? or would it need the standard ones? john
simonh1
Best to use a set of aftermarket jobbies, it would also need a top end gasket set, head bolts, cam belt, sump gasket and a few bits from your engine, namely, water pump, sump and maybe a couple of brackets.
