kiss my rs
Ok basically I bought a set of 17" team dynamics in offset Et38 a few months ago. Now I have been offered a Mint set of 17" Fox Evo 1 et42 finished in polychrome, 4 good falken tyres 205/40 £250 max. I know that for an escort an offset of between ET36 and 41 should be used. But should I take up this offer for a cheap set of spare rims, or giv it a miss as the offset of Et42 is too high? I need advice soon as i need to decide next few days before i go on holiday. Ne one have ne experience of ET42 on a 'scort Cheers Ben

Colin
Ben they off a Focus? They will fit, mine are et42 off a focus and fits on, just make sure you get good proper alloy wheel nuts and not your steelie nuts!
Cossie Dave
Me and kev have a weird offset and they fit perfect, better than the ford offset that's recomended
Ex-Finesse
You taking a chance because Fox wheels are not strong. I remember a phone call from the garage servicing my car: "There is not a straight wheel on the car" EDIT: My wheels were 17' Fox Edited June 27, 2004 by Ex-Finesse
Cossie Dave
Yeah they bend really easily, you normally find that you're better with stronger wheels in the long run. Like OZ wheels or BBS

I was going to go for one of the strongest wheels around - 18' Compmotive MO's, until Clarky PJ got them on his escort..... so I've no idea anymore!
