kiss my rs Posted July 24, 2004 Share Posted July 24, 2004 If ur going for a "Low" drop then uprated shocks should really be bought to match ur new springs. Eg if goin for a drop of say 35-40mm then ur standard shocks should do fine (as long as ur shocks are in reasonable condition !lol) but if going for a 60mm drop then its advised to get shortened uprated shocks. I had my escort lowered 60mm on standard shocks for 7 months and never had one problem! The only one thing was that it was a tad bouncy, but didnt really bother me. Im getting 4 KYB gas shocks for £119 to match my 60mm springs to stiffen up the ride now though. Ben Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

But if you want looks, without spending too much, buy the -40mm puma springs. mrcrisp Posted July 24, 2004 Share Posted July 24, 2004 I'd say buy the full kit...I need one, -40mm springs on my standard ford ones, and the were in good nick, the front spring dislodged once, the ride has been nothing but `bouncy`...and frankly now, 18months on, the ride is total shite...which is why I need one!
