how do i wire up foglights

just got a cossie bumper

 

with fogs

 

and i need to know how to wire up the fogs

 

can anyone do me a easy to follow step by step

Halfrauds do a foglight wiring kit which would help you mate -

 

but basically you run a fused feed direct from battery/other thick 12V+ supply straight into the main channel of a normally open relay, with the output feeding the fog lights, exiting lights on other pole going to earth (metal bodywork).

 

Then for the switching circuit, you want to connect the feed upto the sidelights - just follow back from the offside sidelight bulb to pick up the right wire. Then the output earths via your dashboard switch.

 

 

This means that the fogs will only turn on when the sidelights are on, AND the switch is pressed on the dash. Can use the sidelight input to backlight the switch when turned on too.
