fordnut
Due to an impending extra little one im having to sell my escort as ive brought a bigger car. I have owned the Escort for 16 months and the gas conversion hasnt missed a beat and its saved me a fortune on fuel. It is switchable between petrol and LPG via a switch on the dash and can be switched whilst driving. I have a certificate to prove that it is a quality system and that it has been fitted properly. The best bit is that LPG costs about 38p a litre and the consumption is within 10% of petrol, which with todays petrol prices, about doubles your miles per pound. The spec of the rest of the car is as follows, 1998 R reg GTI, State Blue metallic, 89000 miles, 5 door, Half leather seats in very good condition, Air con, White dials, (Standard on Gtis) 16" Raceline RL7's, Factory bodykit, Quality Cat 1 alarm and immobilizer with certificate, 12 months MOT, The front of the car doesn't have a single stone chip, due to the bonnet, bumper and wing tops being professionally resprayed. Price £2200 No offers. I can be contacted on 07771 545712 any time and i am based in Daventry, Northants. Any questions please ask.

Joey
Not a bad car at all mate, just wondering how much do the gas conversions cost, as i do alot of town driving, and with the rising petrol prices , i am being royally slaughtered!
fordnut
Gas conversions cost anything from about £1000 upwards fully fitted depending on model and type of conversion. Hence i think my cars a bargain at £2200.

neil
Where is the Lpg tank?
fordnut
The LPG tank is the doughnut type and is in the spare wheel well. Before anyone asks i carry a can of tyre weld for everyday running about and i have a space saver type wheel if im going on a long journey.I will take some pics of the under bonnet and boot areas and post them when i get home from work tonight.
