TurGe
Hi all as you are probably all aware the front wishbones on the scort tend to need replacing quite often.Seems there are a lot of OEM and pattern products available considerably cheaper than the ford stuff.Has anybody had any experience of the non genuine stuff ? is it worth the saving or should i get proper ford jobbies. The cambelt is due too (on 50k at the mo)Any one got any cheap outlets for the above productsThanks in advance
Ex-Finesse
On a standard car, wishbones should last a couple of years / 30 - 40k miles. If you've lowered your car or put larger alloys on, then they will wear far quicker. Genuine Ford parts are £28 for both sides I think, but the expense is in fitting the things. I'd use genuine even if the pattern parts were free! Cambelt I'd get a garage to do, expect around £150.
