sidelights

ive just got some blue led sidelights which look good when the car engine is not running but when engine is running headlights come on aswell which looks crap.when i say headlights come on if u turn the switch to sidelights a small wattage must travel to headlights aswell making them come on.Is ther anyway of stopping this.

you have to modify the headlight relay by removing it and bridging the necessary holes to make the headlights work and this low level powered headights on sidelights not work. Done it on my old Mondeo but couldn't tell you exactly what holes do what, see ur Haynes manual if you can read wiring diagrams (i can't!)

i also looked into this, then it looked like too much work lol

 

so i havnt done it, but if you find out let me know!

ive been told to take out the dim/dip relay and this should work anyone know any different?

Get urself a haynes... they're brilliant, that'll fix u up, shouldn't be too hard to read, can give ya a few tips if u get stuck.

 

I'll have a look in mine for u.
