I'm at uni in manchester at the moment, and dont know any cheap local garages, so how much should i be paying? The one place i tried said around £130 plus vat, which seems expensive to me! Is it? marcus Posted October 24, 2004 Share Posted October 24, 2004 mate what uni u at??? im at salford which is about 10 mins away from Manchester!!! theres a place in Preston about a 30min drive from manchester where i take my car to and so does my dad, they are well cheap and u save money even though there is the long drive, its called the clock garage, its about 5mions from matts house too Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

I was planning on going back there this weekend anyway. £90 i got quoted from my local garage, which is much better than £130-160 which i am getting around manchester/fallowfield. I'm at man met. What course you doing? Hey, btw - with regards to your 2.0 engine - how old are you? Are you declaring the engine change to your insurers? Is it costing you much more?
