steve_sport_scort Posted June 1, 2005 Share Posted June 1, 2005 ok as most of you will have seen my escy was way down on the performance,took it for a good drive and its alot better, are there any engine additives that would aid in cleaning the engine out, i cant get to a bp station to get ultimate, so the quality fuels out of the window unless im rarely passing,but iv seen these engine cleaner things in halfords sounds good, but are they? any one know? Prostheta Posted June 1, 2005 Share Posted June 1, 2005 Bit of Redex to clean the injectors and you're happy. Nothing special, just better than leaving the engine to coke up with Tesco fuel. BTW, I believe that the "power boost" tins you can buy which you spray directly into your intake only cleans rather than finds HP that were never there in the first place. I think the blurbs basically assume your engine is cacked up already and can regain the HP lost through coking up....IMHO... Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
