Ex-Finesse
How much more torque do you get out of a 2.0?<{POST_SNAPBACK}>A hell of a lot!! Compare the 130spec 1.8 against the 2.0, only 6bhp gain with the 2L, but it's got about 20lb/ft more torque!! To get up to standard 2.0 torque, you'd have to spend thousands on headwork, hairy cams, chip and maybe a 4-2-1 manifold too. Even then, the power would be at 4k rpms and above. It won't have the drivability of a standard 2.0L £1400 should buy you a decent (2nd hand) 2.0L engine, lots of new parts (cambelt, clutch, etc), allows about £300 for labour, and allows £500 for a unichip. You should see at least 145bhp with the chip and usual breathing mods, but if possible go for some extra mods while the car's off the road
DRAVEN
The 1.6 ecu runs the engine but not at its best. Get the ecu chipped and your'll see alot more power- got 154.5bhp from mine thats only with exhaust, induction kit and chip. Read the guide for a idea of the swap Clicky<{POST_SNAPBACK}> thanks
