Ive just taken my car in to ask about a vibrating noise which happens when revs sink down to about 3k revs and its coming from the exhaust i think. I took it into the garage and they said they think the cat converter had broken up inside and bits and pieces had moved down into the centre section.

so basically they said i need to get a new cat £160-180 plus fitting and a centre box £55 plus fitting. so like £220 or so in total. what do you think i should do? leave it or get it sorted? its quite a lot of cash to stop a vibration or is it quite serious?

yeah hopefully they will be able to do something to improve it, should i keep my eye out on ebay and the for sale bit to see if anyone is selling their full systems do you reckon?

cos i dont think i would spend £400 on the powerflow system thats nearly 2 weeks worth of wages ! :(
