Viper Posted August 15, 2005 Share Posted August 15, 2005 thing with the remote central locking for the escort is the imboiliser supposibliy u still have to open the door with the key for the engine to start or somithing like. im not sure if this is strickly true but is what i been told. and it might not work. only way it would work is to get an aftermarket CL kit and then the RCL kit onto that. dnrc Posted August 15, 2005 Share Posted August 15, 2005 Should work fine mate, i recently put something like this on my car and had no problems except deciphering the crappy instruction sheet. I Got the door locking and remote boot release working fine. you just need to install and get power to the receiver and splice into two wires in the door room (i used the passenger side as it's easier to run wires from under the bonnet) then the boot release wire goes to the switch in the centre console.
