Let me know if you want more details. Regarding your 6x9's all depends on the rating of them? Would that be 250watts peak power or RMS? A good safe rule for all speakers is run speakers at half there rating. 200 watts use a 100watt amp. 250 watts use a 125watt amp. ect ect.. Drk_red_Mk5 Posted August 22, 2005 Share Posted August 22, 2005 the rating wont really matter, you more likely to kill a speaker but underpowering it coz of all the distortion an that, than it will if you over power it and turn the gain down a little bit. but to get perfection, use the same power am as on the speakers or close to it.
