mesh grill Mk6 Escort

Hi people, can any one give me some advise on where to stick the mesh to on the upper grill on a Mk6 Escort...If you take out the ford plactic grill then it leaves a gaping hole with no where to stick ur mesh to?

i have just done mine and the best way i found was to

 

Cut a piece of mesh the width from headlight to headlight and plus 5cm ontop and under the size of the hole

 

feel along the inside of the bumper at the top where the mesh sits. on mine there is enough room for my mesh to fit in.

 

Bend the mesh into a L shape and slot the lower part of the L under the bumper.

 

Bend the top of the mesh back towards the engine bay and secure the edges to the top of the mounting points on the headlights

 

Note: make sure to get the sizes correct, i closed my bonnet onto the mesh and crushed it, it now has slight imprefections throughout the mesh

 

This is the easiest way i found to do it IMO, if you check the how to section there is another suggestion

I took my original ford grill and bent the mesh round it then took it out and screwed it with the screws tht hold on the original grill and it looks great, and it dont budge either i'll av to get a pic, its ok until you openthe bonnet and i havent tidyied it up on the inside but hey ppl dont see that part
