Heater Matrix

I think the heater matrix in my mk5b escort has a leak as the carpets are carpets are wet and the car is losein water! would i be right in thinking that the matrix haxs gone ???? also has anyone got and idea how much a new one would cost also how much for fitting it ??????????

Try running your hand under the heater box, if its damp its more then likely is leaking, you should also see signs of leakage as well if you look under the heater in any case .

This might sound funny but you can also “taste” antifreeze as its sweet, so why not give the heater a good lick it at the same time .......tis true
