T_Tommy Posted September 26, 2006 Share Posted September 26, 2006 hello im new here so hello everyone first. i am looking some advice on an engine transplant ATM i have a 1.8 straight derv in my escort its got near 150k on the clock and the cluth has never been changed (belive it or not).; i am looking for another engine to put in her (the engine must be diesel for various reasons) . Was suggested to put a mondeo turbocharged derv in i know there was a 1.8 turbocharged escort is this the same engine as the mondeo? what are your opinions on the best diesle engine for it? also what do i need to complete the transplant i wouldent imagine a new loon would be needed? cheers for the help in advance understanding that this would be alot of work but what are the chances of the new gen TDCI engines fitting?
