I've just bought some 16" Gti wheels (which aren't on the car yet) and have lowered my car by 40mm (looks sweet and handles so much better) but the arches hang over the wheels like no ones business! So i was wondering whether or not spacers and any good! Do they put any pressure or strain on the axels and will the wheels rub? Well the guy i bought them off said they were 40mm! Now you mention it the springs where a whole coil smaller than the originals! There's a sub and amp and a spare wheel!
