C6 CYA
i changed my rear beam from a drum mk6 to a rs2k disk beam , changed the handbrake and the disks pads and shoes. now the wheels spin forward no problem and in reverse most of the time with no problem but occasionally they lock on on there own, move the wheel forward a touch and then carry on backwards and its fine until it suddenly locks up again anybody any idea what the problem could be thanks chris
mar_k
maybe somthing to do with the load preportioning valves?
Carl160180
Sound's like your brake shoes are'nt sitting on the backing plates properly mate, when the wheel is moving backwards the inside of the disc/drum is getting hold of the shoe and locking it on causing the wheel to stop. Get the discs' pulls off and check everything's as it should be
escortedal
probably got the adjustment on the handbrake shoes just a bit too far out, move them back in a turn and problem should be solved.
