Gonzo0
it was a nice day so decided to give the car a pre show season detail (i'll do another before FITP though haha)Rang up mike as i know he wanted to help clay the car and use the foam, plus it saves time when 2 people are claying a car. First up was the foaming to loosen and lift up any dirt from the paintwork. For this i used ValetPro PH neutral snow foam with a dash of gold class shampoo added, the rest of the bottle was filled with luke warm water. http://img207.imagevenue.com/loc152/th_89222_P020409_14.59_122_152lo.JPG The pressure washer used btw is a Karcher K2.54M with a clean your car foam lance. http://img41.imagevenue.com/loc555/th_89227_P020409_15.00_122_555lo.JPG Some foaming fun!! http://img256.imagevenue.com/loc185/th_89236_P020409_15.01_122_185lo.JPG Mike having fun lol http://img269.imagevenue.com/loc350/th_89249_P020409_15.02_122_350lo.JPG The car was already quite clean so the foam had a hard time sticking to the car http://img135.imagevenue.com/loc456/th_90330_P020409_15.031016_122_456lo.JPG While the foam was at work i set about cleaning the alloys and arches with ValetPro Bilberry wheel cleaner diluted down 1:5, the grime and brake dust literally just came off. http://img267.imagevenue.com/loc194/th_90342_P020409_15.025010_122_194lo.JPG http://img130.imagevenue.com/loc914/th_90345_P020409_15.06_122_914lo.JPG After rinsing the car down it was time to get to the shampoooing, megs gold class with megs wash mit was used with the 2 bucket method. http://img143.imagevenue.com/loc633/th_90348_P020409_15.13_122_633lo.JPG http://img139.imagevenue.com/loc393/th_90361_P020409_15.165019_122_393lo.JPG Getting down and dirty with the rear bumper haha http://img224.imagevenue.com/loc219/th_90364_P020409_15.26_122_219lo.JPG http://img241.imagevenue.com/loc458/th_90380_P020409_15.265039_122_458lo.JPG Did a bit of T-Cutting to remove any fine scratches. http://img165.imagevenue.com/loc376/th_91068_P020409_15.45_122_376lo.JPG Next a spot of claying was in order to remove all those bits of tar. I used the megs smooth clay kit i got for xmas, the clay is soft and easy to use plus you get 2 bars http://img130.imagevenue.com/loc930/th_91077_P020409_16.16_122_930lo.JPG Mike claying http://img145.imagevenue.com/loc412/th_91083_P020409_16.17_122_412lo.JPG The bumper of the car wasnt that bad, little came off http://img45.imagevenue.com/loc1195/th_91102_P020409_16.195018_122_1195lo.JPG The bottom of the front door was a different matter lol http://img269.imagevenue.com/loc420/th_91110_P020409_16.41_122_420lo.JPG After the car was clayed (took a while even with 2 people at it) i washed it again then rinsed with an open ended hose so the water sheets off. http://img262.imagevenue.com/loc240/th_91112_P020409_17.17_122_240lo.JPG A random shot mike took after claying http://img14.imagevenue.com/loc52/th_91120_P020409_17.174020_122_52lo.JPG Next it was time for some glazing. For this i used Chemical Guys wet mirror finish with a megs foam applicator. This product is awesome and smells lush. Easy to apply and buff off. http://img160.imagevenue.com/loc944/th_92230_P020409_17.26_122_944lo.JPG Me buffing off the last bits of WMF http://img220.imagevenue.com/loc516/th_92238_P020409_17.47_122_516lo.JPG Some after shots taken by mike http://img165.imagevenue.com/loc577/th_92241_P020409_17.48_122_577lo.JPG http://img231.imagevenue.com/loc527/th_92253_P020409_17.489029_122_527lo.JPG Unfortunatly we ran out of time after this so had to pack up.The next day the car was waxed with 2 layers of gold class wax (Got some Chemical Guys petes wax on order )Windows were done with Autoglym fast glassTyres with megs hot tyre shine although im not liking it as it comes off easy and is messy to apply.Exhaust was done with Megs NXT metal polish which is frankly the best and lasts for a lifetime. Will be doing another detail closer to FITP so my car is gleaming on stand. If anyone needs any tips or advice just ask. Thanks to Mykez69 for helping and taking pics and for his T-Cut
