Barry-334
as per title, my USB memory stick is no longer recognised. I have tried it in 2 pcs at home, laptop and now my work pc, and get the same message. tried updating drivers etc, but says no drivers required. not too worried about being able to use the memory stick again, but there are photos I'd like to retrieve from it. Any suggestions..?
smithyandco
Most common problem I've found is the soldering on the Male USB plug where it meets the circuit board comes undone(From sonstant strain of being pushed in and pulled out of USB ports)... if it can be opened easily... Do so and check very closely at the soldering. If it's come undone... a soldering iron with a fine tip should sort you out!
Barry-334
cheers Phil, I'll have a play around at the weekend. oddly, it has been working for very short periods on my work pc. I manage to copy a folder or 2 onto the pc before it servers the connection. managed to get most of what I need, as some pics are still on my laptop anyway. Just annoying when things don't work like they should! Edited April 24, 2009 by Barry-
