eetaylog
Is there some kind of copy protection on iplayer downloads? I downloaded an .mp4 HD episode of top gear from the bbc website, but it wont let me watch it in anything other than their own desktop player, and the file isnt recognised by any conversion software. smithyandco
Yes, All MP4 downloads from the iPlayer website are DRM protected.Easy to remove protection if you search Google. Although this is only recommended if you want to watch it in a player capable of not raping your system of it's resources. If your not fused by HD you can use a mobile (Windows Mobile or Apple) device to download the content in unprotected .mov format then transfer to your PC...As yet I've not found a desktop app that can do this
