muzzy
They dont need to be in a sealed box, but they sound better if the box is total close. gets better echo, sound quilty and less vib.if its closedi was telled that a base box should be no smaller than twice the lenth of ur sub
Chrissyboy
depends, some subs dont need a box at all. if its a free air sub it will sound good in just a baffle. I tried mine in a baffle and it sounded shite. putting it in a box is the best bet, I always use sealed but you could have a ported box if you wish but I would put it in a box

DAVE W
Not sure they are a weird shape so they fit in the gaps at the side
B19 JUB
it really depends on the type of subs ure using, some are free air, some require sealed boxes some require ported boxes and some sound best in a band pass box.on the back of the box the sub came in it should tell u what works best for them and type of volume box u should put it in.hope thats of some help.i have two rockford he12's in a rockford box,set me back a bit but ready made bass machine,no need to mess around with volumes etc
