Tythman
yeah but think of the extra torque and the tuning capability of the 2.0. If he did simple mods he could get it close to 150bhp which is standard RS2000 territory......... I agree regarless of the extra hassle it has to be done, i want to swap in a 2 litre myself. Are there any turbo solutions out there? What's the deal with the RS2000 anyway? Was that a 'scort' with a 2.0 litre lump? if so then whats the problem!? Mk6 Si Ross
the RS2000 engine isn't a Zetec block but an I4 engine. its 150 bhp off the shelf but to change into a normal car requires shite loadsa work!! be easier to buy the RS in the 1st place!! Tythman
Surely you can just weld new engine mounts on? perhaps a shoe horn is in order?
white_van_matt
I was reading something a guy wrote on the performance ford forum - he had an XR2i 1.8 Zetec, and had fitted a few mondeo 2.0 parts because they're the same as the ones in the RS1800i Fiesta. He said it was definetley worth doing that, so surely the whole engine would be even better
