Leeroy_Si
Looks like my dad may be getting rid of his mondeo estate, but he's been quoted stupidly low prices on its value, like £200 low. For that kinda money, id buy it off him, just for the engine.1. Whats the difference between my 1.8 Zetec 115bhp and his 2.0 Zetec 130bhp2. Would that 2.0 Ltr Zetec fit straight into my escort, or would it involve major surgery. 3. Could i just take bits off it to put onto mine to improve the power of my engine Any help appreciated

Ringo_Mountbatten
I'd be interested know myself whether or not the 2.0 litre engine would go in without much work...

simonh1
Yep, I've got a mondeo Si 2.0 in mine.........it all fits although the engine mounts have to be changed, and you keep the 1.8 flywheel and clutch...Oh and by the way.........the engine and box does'nt just lift out of the scort..........you have to lift the car and drop it out of the bottom.... If he did simple mods he could get it close to 150bhp which is standard RS2000 territory.........
