Stu
What year is it? Sounds like one of the feeds to the coilpack is broken, assuming your replacement coil isn't faulty too.

Stu
L reg so 94, yes the coil was taken off a running car If it uses an external EDIS module (and respective wiring) it might be worth checking this out. The module can be found on the offside inner wing. I posted a pin-out of the EDIS 4 module on here the other day so have a bit of a search if you need it. Stu
If it doesn't have an external EDIS module then really it could be many things.. faulty ECU.. wiring loom problem..
Yokomo
hmm im guessing its to do with the wiring, because iv noticed alot of the wires have water on them or dripping off under the dash
Stu
hmm im guessing its to do with the wiring, because iv noticed alot of the wires have water on them or dripping off under the dash A common water leak on an Escort is where the main wiring loom goes through the main bulkhead behind the inner wheel arch. Water can run down into the ECU. You've probably got corrosion in there and potentially damaged the ECU.
