MikeM
After a little bit of advice. I currently have a DAS-6 Dual Action Polisher and it came with a set of 6 inch pads. I've just been browsing the cleanyourcar website and they list a 4 inch pads. Can i use a 4 inch pad to do the whole car? Or are they designed just for tight areas? I'd imagine that using the 6 inch pad would cover more area and get the car done quicker. Current ones i'm using are Sonus pads with Sonus products. Tez162003
id stick with the 6" pads. thats what i use. 4" would require a smaller backing plate, and as you say, there just for more tricky areas, but tbh from experience i find 6" does nearly everything
MikeM
Thanks for the replies guys. The machine i have came with backing plates for both sizes. How easy do you find it to use the 6inch pad on a escort? I struggle slightly with the bulges in the bonnet?
Trig
Tez is spot (geddit) on. Spot pads are for tight areas where a normal pad wont get in. Chances are you wont need to use spot pads, but it is nice to have them in your arsenal.

Thought they may be handy as i already have the smaller backing plate.
