Phill
Was happily driving back from Oxford today, with my CDs playing, when suddenly both front speakers went really distorted for no apparent reason. I hadn't adjusted anything, it just happened. My friend thinks it's the speakers, but I fail to believe two went at exactly the same time only a couple of weeks after I bought them. I thought it might be the amp in the head unit?I'm using a Sony MDX head unit and a 10 CD changer, with standard for wiring and no amps.
John
yeah i'd say sounds like the amp too, i had a lot of problems when i first got my sony xrc7500r like you with speakers distorting but mine was the rears, had the unit changed 3 times before they got it right

Phill
I've had the head unit for a couple of years now, with no probs. I took my speakers back today, but they had discontinued themn so I'm now without any at all as I can't afford an extra £55 for a new pair.Plus I lost ANOTHER wheel trim! Aargh, it's all going wrong.
