demented Posted October 31, 2010 Share Posted October 31, 2010 I have 98 escort, with drivers side airbag fitted as standard and I have just fitted a new dash with a passenger side airbag. However, a friend says a airbag warning light should illuminate briefly when I turn on the ignition ? I've never had a airbag warning light ? friend claims, bulb been removed. I cant even see a airbag type image on any of the spare warning lights ? A few years ago, I owned a 1994 Escort, I could be wrong but I'm sure on that car the airbag warning light was a red LED in the centre of the dash next to the clock, the same LED illuminated when the Ford alarm was armed or possibly there was a small red LED at the bottom of the steering wheel, my friend disagrees ? All my other warning lights have an image which I can still see when not illuminated, yet the 2 warning lights below the indicator light are blank, I assume one of these should be the airbag light but should it have an image ?
