The help I need is how to connect the brake light wires in the spoiler to the existing lights so the light works. I could really do with some help , would be much appreciated. My car is a escort year 97 it has obv rear brake lights and also a rear windscreen brake light , just in case you needed the extra info . SLEEMAN
so basically you're installing a fourth brake light in the cossie spoiler yeah?? is it the proper cossie spoiler with the lower and upper spoilers? if so i take it the brake light is in the upper? what you can do is get about a metres worth of earth and 12v live cable, you can get them from any auto electricians shops including lucas cost ya pennies!!! and just remove the third brake light in the rear screen and find the existing loom and you can splice the new wires into the spoiler brake light wires and splice them into the existing third brake light loom. after that test it and it should work!! by the way a soldering iron would come in handy!! Yes you are correct about it having the upper light. So basically I disconect the rear windscreen light and connect the one in the spoiler instead? Thanks for your help and quick reply
SLEEMAN
well if you can't view the rear screen brake light through the spoiler from a distance them i would remove it entirely as it would be useless for other road users to see it.
