RyanML
im sure ive seen someone swap the steering column when building an escos rep, mk5b and mk6 steering wheels are interchangable but mk5a's are different
tezmanian devil
The back of a mk5 steering is slightly bigger if Iirc, I changed the whole colum when I changed the steering wheel on my mk6 van, get a mk5 Rs/xr colum as there tilt and slide adjustable. Oh yeh, youl need to chop a little nib off the mk5 colum to allow fitment of the plastic clip thing that goes round the lock barrel, think its something to do with the immobiliser/pats crap.
