7 hours straight porting see's all four Inlets finished. Have a crack at the Exhausts tomorrow. Then guess what. I've decided to do another one and do things a little differently.

Enjoying the updates.

 

Will each port be identical? If you're doing them by hand (rather than machining) are you just going by your dad's experience rather than precise measurements? (genuine question)

Thanks. Head is finished now, just forgot to get pictures.

 

They will be pretty close, as you say it's done by hand so i'll never get it spot on, but when you match them up to the manifolds, you know that the opening of the port is the same all along at least and i do the same process for each port, can't do much more than that really. It's difficult to explain really, i know i'm rambling but it's a 'feel' you gain when you've done a few, you just know when it's there,

Couple of bits done. We can't do much until the head is finished and surprise surprise it's still at the machine shop. We'll be going up to Kent Cams at some point give Del a spec for him to make some special cams up.
