Posted March 11, 201213 yr looking too change my plastic inlet too efi inlet off a 1600 efi turbo! anyone know how too?
March 11, 201213 yr anyone? You'd need an adapter plate to bolt it to the 16v head. You'll also need to fit a zetec or at least the zetec TPS to whatever throttle body you use. It's an inferior manifold to the plastic one. Why on earth would you want to do this? It'll run worse than it does now if you don't custom tune the engine for the different manifold (and even then it'd gain you no power/driveability).

I thought the tb and ecu are the only thing thats anygood on them, are they not 105hp (roughly) with the so inlet. I wouldn't bother doing anything to it unless you get cheap remaps.
March 12, 201213 yr Plastic manifold on the 1.8 flows the same as the efi inlet on the xr/rs1800 just throttle body dependant
March 12, 201213 yr Plastic manifold on the 1.8 flows the same as the efi inlet on the xr/rs1800 just throttle body dependant Can you provide us with the flow figures?
March 12, 201213 yr interesting reading about stuff like this can be found in a myth buster thread by one of the mods/admins. Im on my phone so i can't put a link up. i havn't worked out how to edit yet, sorry. The myth buster thread is the top thread in mechanical.

March 12, 201213 yr No I can't But I seem to recall you saying that the manifolds flow the same .. I doubt I would have said that, but if I did I was wrong.
March 12, 201213 yr Author Not changing manifold anymore the adaptor plates are a rip off cheers anyway
