I ve found this before but as i basically have a orange and blue wire not attached to ecu and trying to work out what its for. As none off these diagrams even have a orange and blue wire im pretty stumped what to do and weather to just start again with another loom and rite ecu

I think the issue you are having is that the loom you are using is not from the same car as the ECU, am I right?

Can you not trace the orange/blue wire that is loose to the multiplug connector at the other end?

Im not sure what the loom came from but yeah looks like i will just have to trace the wire from the ecu this is what a mate has figured out so far, by the way its a DESK ecu. http://i1078.photobucket.com/albums/w494/Tom_Harding/e7bd1fda.jpg

I think you're going to be chasing your tail without the right loom and ECU. IMO, you're pissing in the wind trying to look at wiring diagrams if you don't know for sure what the loom is out of.

A 1.8 loom and ECU will cost fcuk all from a scrap yard and most likely save you hours of head scratching.

Well might have to do that as i have really bad head ache from this. I cant find out what loom it is as the kiddy i got it off didnt do the conversion so he dnt know. I got a haynes on way for escort and orion from 1990 to 2000. Will i not be able to figure out what loom i have from this?

For your information, a loom from a 94-95 1.6 Fiesta Si is direct plug'n'play for the DESK ECU....

Alright mate cheers for advise, gonna wait till 2mz when haynes turns up and c if i can make out my loom in there but if not i will get a loom and ecu, if i do get a ecu aswell do u still recomend a si loom or is there any easier ones, bear in mind it is going in a mk2 xr2

You don't need an ECU, you said you already have a DESK one?

Yeah got a desk one but if i get a loom for fiesta si will all the wires and pins locate?
