Hi

 

As above, the locks including the key in my v reg focus estate have had it, im looking at changing over everyrhing.

 

The question is do i need the ecu and pats ring like you do in an escort? And do i need a specific one for the age, engine size of the car

Yes you would need the ecu and pats,locks,barrel be sure to match the codes up too,im guessing is the 104 pin ecu? plus im not 100% sure on this but you can keep your key fob to unlock and lock the car,just got to go through the programing game,someone on here will know how to do it.

if the chip is removable fron the key like the escorts then you only need to change the chip to your new key you then wont need a ecu

 

All you need to do with the focus is take the button part of the old remote key and link it to your new key part as the transponder is inside the remote part

so what your saying is that all i need then is the 2 door locks, boot lock, petrol cap and bonnet lock and ignition and thats it
