I've also noticed that on the zetec/GTi, the backbox is much further to the backend. However, to save myself a paint job, I may just cut a new hole in the current one. I think they got another escort in there as well, but the front bumper isn't the one with fogs, but the rear bumper may be a zetec one. I'll have to go down and check.
