Aye. I'm gob smacked that the insurance paid out!

If it had been a normal car with that amount of damage then it would have been written off, but the cost of that repair is a quarter of the cost of replacing the car, so cheaper for the insurers to repair.

Awesome car and accident too by the look of it.

It's not that, I just think insurance companies are money grabbing thieves.

Got your licence yet?

No, just going by what happened to my brother and old man.

Also quotes for mine are ridiculous. I can insure a Ford Rs Turbo cheaper according to a couple of places.

Why "obviously"?

I wouldn't of assumed you had claimed to have a licence for the quotes hence my comment.

A certain irony that you start a thread where an insurance company has just had to pay out £900,000 only to then call them money grabbers. The cash has to come from somewhere.

My insurance renewal just came through at £40 per month cheaper, so I quite like them at the moment, lol.

It's just with experience from the claims i've known that they don't pay out. My brother wasn't even in the car when someone drove into it and they wouldn't pay out.

I just can't understand the pricing, do they just make it up? How can i insure an RS cheaper than a bloody ol' Imp? I also could insure a Starlet GT Turbo for £1700 compared to the £3500 they want to charge for the Imp.

Hard to say why, your giving random info so not easy to work out what you might be getting as results.

When young passers are paying upward of 2.5k for 1.8 Escorts Im not in a position to discover why you would get insured on an RS cheaper.
