simong93
Hi all ive just gone and bought a Ford escort 1.6l 16v 1996 and she come off the road in 2008 and has only just been put back on the road before i bought it she has only done 41k miles genuine i have the receipts to prove it. Ok my first problem is when i drive if i put my foot down on the accelerator to much to quickly the revs will shoot through the roof and i will stop moving but then if i slowly build her revs up she is fine but in my experience this dosent feel like the clutch slipping as she can climb hills with no problems and i cant smell the clutch burning. My next problem is where she has been sat for so long i need to give her a service but what else should i be looking over ive checked the basics such as sensors but what hidden gremlins are going to get me. simong93
Thats going to be a nice bill but i did read somewhere that my symptoms could be something to do with a sensor but i will take her to the garidge to get checked.
