stoo2000
Hi Martin, Changing the water pump involves removing the cam belt and auxiliary belt, you may want to fit a new cam belt & tensioner at the same time if this hasn't been done recently. SLEEMAN
i found changing the waterpump and belts with the engine out is easier in my opinion! so if the clutch is old you could do that too! I know its alot of money but prolongs the life of the engine running properly and usually it comes in threes so might as well resort to do it all. as i know when i had my waterpump replaced and timing belt my clutch was slipping badly about a couple of weeks after! lol also any other problems might as well sort them out and if its due a service why not do that too when the engine is in and new coolant change! martinkettering
full service given 6 months ago,and coolant change,if i had the space i would have the engine out,but as space is limited at the back of where i live i have to make do with having to struggle on some things,i will just be doing water pump and belt, luckily i got 5 litres of antifreeze and still have abit left over,it will be done with the next week or 2.thanks for the advice tho
SLEEMAN
Ah fair enough matey, as its really tight by the cam belt and I have huge hands so no chance for me to do one whilst in re engine bay! Lol
