demented
Is the only difference between a mk6 ABS rear axle and one without ABS, is it just the additional holes for the ABS sensors to pass through and be secured? I assume a ABS rear axle also has threaded holes to secure the ABS sensors in place ? I can get a mk6 rear axle from a 3 door, but its from one without ABS. My Escort originally had 4 wheel ABS, which I need to reinstate.
demented
I've since discovered, there appears to be very little difference. I actually meant the rear beam and not the rear axle. The only difference between a mk6 Escort rear beam with ABS and one without, is the ABS rear beam has clips, fixing holes and a shroud for the ABS sensor wires. The ABS sensors actually bolt to the rear of each stub axle. The area of the rear beam where the ABS sensors pass through is a large aperture, so no drilling of holes required.
