doctorevil Posted June 28, 2013 Share Posted June 28, 2013 I'm probably going to regret selling this but because I am vacating my work unit on Monday and I don't want to put it into storage I have for sale a well made vented mk5 rs2000 bonnet which inherited when I bought Tez's old car last year. You can see the horizontal louvred vent in sits just above the exhaust manifold - perfect if you want to cool a lairy turbo.... I remember seeing a similar one on a silver mk5 I think was an MSD rs2000 from the '90s. Anyway the actual vent is well made and solid and seems to be all metal. It has a carbon wrap whcih is quit egood but it is starting to pick up storage scuffs on its travels , notably one right on the fron and a light but prominnent one behind the vent. In need of refurbishment, one of them has a bit of a ding on the front rim but it drove fine on front of my mk6 4x4. Tyres are 2 x marangoni Zeta, 1 x pirelli p7000 1 x Event wl905. tyres all have at least 4mm of tread. The Pirelli is looking a bit old but the other 3 still have the nobbly bits n the outside. These would make great track day rims- you could sell the tyres for 330 each on ebay as part worns and keep the rims for free?
