Hello all,

Build thread (more on another forum);

http://www.escortevolution.co.uk/forums/in...=markc&st=0

I bought this car back in 2007 on 62k from a local dealer.

I have done the majority of any work on the car myself so I know it’s been done properly and I get to monitor the wear and tear of any components on it.

It’s standard 1.6 Finesse apart from

Interior mods;

Rear seats and door cards are flow raven interior, repaired and/or properly cleaned. (Front Recaro’s partly finished but will be included in the price)

A-pillar oil pressure gauge (not wired in yet)

Chrome door handles

Chrome button handbrake

Chrome ring on gear gaiter

Pepper red gear knob

Steering column radio controls

RS2000 Steering wheel with inverted leather

MP3 CD6000

Ford 6 cd changer under passenger seat

Font heated screen button (ready for the new screen)

Map roof lights

Genuine Ford floor mats

Clifford alarm with remote central locking

Outside

GTI/RS2000 skirts

Colour coded rub strips

4x MINT GTI wheels (bought new from ford not long before I got the car) with Toyo Proxy T1-Rs (rears have covered less than 1000 miles)

Headlight covers

Rear lights have pin stripe tape to appear smoked (not the crap tinting spray).

Suspension

Lowered 30mm on PI springs and G-max front shocks (rears started leaking and are currently standard)

Rear strut brace

Front upper strut brace

Front lower strut brace

New Genuine Ford lower arms last year

New ARB links at the same time

New track rod ends.

New Genuine 3 Piece clutch fitted not long ago

Bad points

The rear arches are rusting but I have new panels to go with the car

There is a small bubble on the rear corner of both side of the roof

Boot lid has the usual rust under the spoiler

Passenger side rear door has rust on it but I have a replacement pepper red rear door

Slight tap on start up when cold but goes after around 30 seconds and is really quiet after.

Steering wheel needs recovering ideally

Only 2 small dents over the whole car otherwise it’s perfectly straight

The lacquer is peeling on the front bumper

Some little Plonker decided to key the car down one side

She's now on 167k still running a completely standard engine and genuine ford exhaust still, services every 10k or less and lots of parts have been refurbished or replaced for as new condition parts. This is why it has lasted so long. Other than the clock on the dash not being plugged in when fitting the dash back last week the rest of the car work as it is supposed to.

The brakes, suspension and steering have always been kept at 100% and is very noticeable when driving, it’s very fun to drive around the country lanes.

I have got to say even now I'm utterly surprised at how reliable this car has been. I've only had to change 1 pulley due to being slightly noisy and an alternator due to the mileage but both replaced with genuine Ford items again.

Folder full of receipts

Due to now working in the same town I no longer need the car.

I’m after £750 (the upgrades alone are worth the most of the value of the car).

Based in Chelmsford, Essex

Any questions please let me know

Regards

Mark

Forgot to add;

The slight tap on startup is only in the cold weather

It has Ford mud flaps made to fit around the kit

1 touch down only (for safety reasons) on both front windows.

Upgraded rear speakers (the fronts will be returned to standard)

Colour coded door handles

Air con working fine

Ka rear view mirror (same as standard other that the back is smooth and looks a newer style)
