Pelles
A nice new "Genuine" cossie bonnet on the way then Don't settle for anything less!! agreed! alot of people would panic in that situation, just glad it wern't your gf driving, i dont think alot of people would handle that situation well! How easy was it to pull the car to the side of the road ? guess you had quick reactions to steer by your mirrors! :-) Or could you see through a gap at the bottom of the bonnet ? Mirrors mainly and a little under the gap just stopped it as quick as I could and got to the edge of the road wasn't worried about cars in front more worried about some one rear ending me as I stopped so quickly
Mr_Tom
Hey scuba Matt i had the same happen to me in my Mk4 escort i was overtaking a lorry at around midnight then all of a sudden wham!!! The bonnett flew up couldnt see a thing like you late at night i had to pull over to the slow lane with lorrys coming up behined me stop. When i got out the bonnett luck had not smashed the window but had got stuck on my windscreen wipers. I had to stand on the front of the engine and try to pull it down it had ripped the body work where the hinges go. I managed to get it shut but tell you have drove home very carefully. Went to the scrap yard got a blue one and put it on was a fetching colour for a pepper red escort. Its not something id wish to happen to anyone!!!!!
