rachyxx
after reading the other post when you were all on about changing your springs and how hard it was and what you needed to use, i am totally confused now!! so could someone tell me the easiest way of doing this as i intend to do mine this week!! marcus
i did mine as follows....... for the back ones, jack the car up and put it on axel stands but not using the rear beam. undo the two bolts (One either side) where the shockers attach and then lower the jack and the beam will lower although one side will still be attached to the car. then undo the three bolts around the strut inside the boot, the whole suspension bit will fall out, compress the springs and undo the bolt at the top take the old spring off then compress the new spring and put it on the shocker and fasten it up, then put it all back together. it took about an hour to do the rear ones. for the front ones....... (Sime posted this a while ago so i dont take credit for it) take off wheel and undo the hub bolt that holds the shock on and try to open out the hub a fraction, makes it easier to get the shock outundo the 2 nuts holding the brake hose to the strutnow take the shocker out the hub, usually by means of hammering the hub down off the shock then remove the 3 bolts inside the engine bay that hold the shock in

marcus
oh i get what you mean now . i lowered mine 40mm and had 14" steelies on, the only problem i had was the middle box off the exhaust caught the pavement when reversing onto the drive but only when i had more than myself in the front
