Removing and spraying bump strips

I need any help that I can get on removing and spraying the horrible grey plastic bump strips on the side of my Escort Mk6. Does anyone know?? Are they fixed from the inside? do they clip on? or are they stuck on? And if spraying these, do ford sell these new primed ready for spraying or should i just spray the ones that are on the car?? ?( Cheers in advance!!!!

The double sided tape which holds them on is useless once they have been removed from the car. You will never be able to stick them on again as well as they were, so I'd recommend spraying them on the car. Mask up well around the edges and paper out at least 30cm, the more the better. If you're a perfectionist, the whole car!

Spray only when there is no wind at all, but make sure the air temperature is above 15c. A warm dry morning would be best. Spray in the shade, but turn the car round and do the other side while the 1st side dries in the sun. :thumb:

Thanks for all the great info, and help!! One question now comes to mind, what will my car look like if i remove them all together?? will i be left with an unsightly recess??? anyone got any pics? and do they pull of quite easy? or will they damage the paint work? :) Would love to see more pic's of ya escort (Cannings)!!
