Tom_escort2004 Posted August 27, 2004 Share Posted August 27, 2004 i lowered my fiesta 35mm on proper pi sports springs brand new, and the car bounces all over the joint, its got that bad to the point where on the rear, the rear is more of the problem than the front, the car is sat on its tyres like its lowered 60mm + , wheni have people in it, the tyre hits the rear bumper/arch edge and has scored away all the sidewall, its almost down to the metal. the shocks aint leaking, the springs are fine, so wtfs up with it? pti Posted August 27, 2004 Share Posted August 27, 2004 you don't say what size wheels your running if they are a peugeot fitment then they will sit slightly wider than the ford fitment also Pi springs ain't the best on the market i'd describe them as mildly better than cutting a coil off ya standard ones i had some years ago on an orion 1600 ghia and they were so shite i took them off and binned them after three weeks and brought a spax kit a lot of people in the escevo club use Eibach, Spax, G max or other quality makes of springs they do cost more but your buying quality and you get what ya pay for.who fitted the springs cos i've heard of people fitting them incorrectly if they have been rushing to finnish the job is there any fitting centres in your area that you trust?did Pi send you -35mm springs or have they sent ya -60mm by mistake my escort is lowered 30 mm on Eibach springs with standard dampers i can carry 5 adults with no problems and i have lost no ride quality at all i paid £125 for my springs and £50 to have them fitted.
